Town Hall Meetings
Consumer Directed Services Option
The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) will hold a series of town hall meetings across the state to provide an opportunity for individuals and family members, service providers and the general public to learn more about the Consumer Directed Services (CDS) service delivery option available in many Texas programs.
The CDS option allows individuals or their legally authorized representatives to self-direct program services by recruiting, hiring, training, supervising and terminating their service providers. Individuals who use the CDS option must work with a Consumer Directed Services Agency (CDSA), which provides financial management services such as processing payroll and related taxes. For more information please visit www.dads.state.tx.us/providers/CDS.
These meetings will include an information session and an opportunity to ask questions. Registration is not required and attendance is free. If you or someone you know is in one of the following programs:
- Community Based Alternatives (CBA);
- Primary Home Care (PHC), Family Care (FC), or Community Attendant Services (CAS);
- Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP);
- Integrated Care Management (ICM);

- Deaf-Blind with Multiple Disabilities (DBMD);
